No man is an island

John Donne (1624)
No man is an island entire of itself; every man
is a piece of the continent, a part of the main;
if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe
is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as
well as any manner of thy friends or of thine
own were; any man's death diminishes me,
because I am involved in mankind.
And therefore never send to know for whom
the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.

'Every Man is an Island'

John Undonne (2017)
Every man is an island entire of itself; every man
is a piece of shit, a part of the toilet;
if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe
will not be less, only if a promontory were, if
any manner of my friends I don't care only if my
own were; any man's death doesn't diminish me,
because I am not involved in mankind.
And therefore never care to know for whom
the bell tolls; it doesn't toll for me.
