Horror in Ravenwood (Ghost 3)
It was a dark and stormy night in the small town of Ravenwood. The wind howled through the trees, rattling the old shutters on the houses and causing the power to flicker. In one particular house, a young couple, Emma and Mark, sat huddled together on the couch, watching the rain beat against the windows. They had just moved into the town and weren't used to the eerie feeling that the storm was bringing.
As the night grew later, Emma and Mark decided to go to bed. They had barely closed their eyes when a loud bang echoed through the house. Mark sat up and listened intently, but he couldn't hear anything else. He chalked it up to the storm and tried to go back to sleep.
But a few minutes later, they heard another noise - this time it was more of a scratching sound. Emma clutched onto Mark's arm, feeling uneasy. They listened as the noise got louder and closer. It sounded like it was coming from the attic.
Mark reluctantly got out of bed and grabbed a flashlight. They made their way to the attic, with each step feeling more and more ominous. The scratching noise grew louder and more intense. As they reached the top of the stairs, they saw that the door to the attic was slightly ajar.
Mark pushed the door open, and the light of the flashlight revealed a dark and dusty room. Suddenly, the scratching noise stopped. Emma felt a cold chill run down her spine as they slowly made their way inside.
The attic was filled with old furniture and cobwebs, but something about the room felt off. It was as if someone or something was watching them. Suddenly, the flashlight flickered and went out, leaving them in complete darkness.
Emma screamed as she felt something brush against her arm. Mark fumbled with the flashlight, trying to get it to turn back on, but it was no use. The room was pitch black and silent, except for the sound of their panicked breathing.
As they started to make their way back down the stairs, they heard a low growling sound. It was coming from behind them. They turned around, but they couldn't see anything. Suddenly, something grabbed Emma by the leg, pulling her back into the darkness.
Mark tried to grab onto her, but she was gone. He ran down the stairs, determined to find her. He searched the entire house, but there was no sign of her. The storm had intensified, and the wind howled through the windows.
Desperate to find his wife, Mark made his way back up to the attic. As he entered the room, he heard a faint whisper coming from the darkness. He turned around, and there, standing in the corner of the room, was a ghostly figure.
The figure was barely visible, but Mark could make out a pale face and glowing eyes. The figure beckoned him closer, and Mark felt an irresistible pull towards it. As he got closer, he realized that the figure was holding Emma's lifeless body in its arms.
Mark tried to reach for Emma, but the figure disappeared into the shadows, taking her with it. Mark was left alone in the attic, shaking with fear.
From that night on, strange things started happening in the house. Every night, Mark could hear Emma's voice calling out to him from the darkness. The figure in the attic became a regular visitor, and the town of Ravenwood became known for its haunted house.
Years later, Mark passed away in the house, and his ghost joined Emma and the figure in the attic. To this day, people still report hearing strange noises and seeing ghostly apparitions in the old house. The legend of Ravenwood lives on, as a place where the dead refuse to stay buried.
